I notice time after time on cold days in December and January that the sky lightens up with purplish light in the EAST during the sunset. Weird.

Come here to enjoy the solitude you are not likely to find anywhere else between Moscow and St. Petersburg. Many of the villages are abandoned in the winter, and on cold days you will not see a single car for miles.

Horseback rides though this kind of terrain in the winter may give one a glimpse into the vastness and solitude of this snow-clad land.

(That's for anyone who may doubt my ability to come up with advertising cliches. Consider hiring me to write advertising texts. See the Business Services section.)

Horseback riding at minus 20 centigrade (will someone tell me how much it is in Fahrenheit, and please refer to this page - it is -4F, and thank you, Paul Baker) is not for everyone. If, however, subtleties of the interplay of colour and light outweigh slight creature discomfort, we will be delighted to receive you in the middle of the winter or any other time.
