Village stay in the tver region, between Moscow and st. petersburg

This is the big house. It was blue before, we wanted to paint it orange but bought wrong paint. The fire engine colour makes, however, easy to find it.

Same up close. Photo taken at night.

Stairs to the second floor of the guest house.

Vint ("Screw") watches out for your safety. He knows how to bite. Looks humbled here because of the camera. I am pleased that I am not the only one intimidate by this 30 button 150 function creation of the high-tech industry.

And this is the hand that dared to give Vint a lesson that a good doggie is not to bark for no reason, and that horses' legs are not proper objects for his hunting instincts.

Sur completed the business of reforming Vint's character by a well-aimed kick.

Now the dog is quiet and horse friendly while I have three scars to remind myself that time is taking its tall and that one's reaction is down with age. Honestly, in my younger days I was able to deflect an average dog's attempts to bite me by an open palm that's wider than his mouth.

No insides of the guesthouse because it was a mess downstairs when I was taking pictures, and I didn't feel like crawling up with an ultra-expensive borrowed camera.

Want the ultimate escape? Caves (or catacombs to be precise) as an accommodation option are waiting for you. For an extra fee we'll even make up horror stories. Plus 8 centigrade winter or summer at 100% humidity, so you do need a good sleeping bag to spend a night there comfortably.
