...Restoration of the institute of country estate is essential for Russian cultural renaissance. Russian culture's origin and its proper place is in the world of country estate. The place chosen by Pavel Vladimirovich is both unique and symbolic. High banks of shallow and turbulent Volga running through limestone hills, with numerous tributaries very well represents our times. As the Volga gathers its strength, the initiative by Pavel and his friends is at the beginning of rebirth of our country and our culture. Painting was very easy there. To me inspiration comes only in good places when I'm with good people...
Not bad, eh? So far we are far from anywhere near a country estate, but we appreciate that our vision has been recognized.
