Drive from Moscow - $70. That is, if the trip is undertaken explicitly for you. If I am going anyway, it is somewhere between free and the cost of one tank of gas, depending on our cash flow situation at the moment.
The average bill for two persons who come to Staritsa on their own and stay for two days is $70-100. If this is not affordable [remember that your are reading a translation from from the Russian original that aimed at average Moscovites] we can recommend "work therapy" [a communist-era term I am not sure how to translate to keep its original flavour] that may include housekeeping, construction, working out computer bugs and other types of work. We are also able to offer lower rates during weekdays..
It is possible and you are welcomed to request that we do the best we can to keep you entertained for a fixed fee.
