TAKE CARE OF THE HORSES
- "Walk the first mile, trot the second, and then do what the hell you want".
- Unless a horse is shod, walk - don't trot - on stones or asphalt. Don't gallop on either unless pursued by a tiger.
- Check hooves and shoes before, after, and during the ride.
- The horse must be dry when you return from the ride!
- Do not let a hot animal drink at the end of the ride. Drinking during the ride is fine as long as you DO NOT LET THE ANIMAL REST AFTER WATERING for at least 40 minutes.
- If you want to feed the animal during the ride, do not give her more than one kilogram (two pounds) of grain or bread at a time.
- Go to town only on a horse that is well familiar to you.
- Do not ever let them gallop home.
- Insist that the animal clearly responds to your requests. Maintain proper well-formed extended gaits. Otherwise our horses will soon acquire the character and habits of rental hags.
- Do cross the Volga, especially over the ice.
- Do not tie horses to electric poles.
