A young stallion, a mix of an Akhal-Teke (sp.?) with something else fairly hot blooded, with all the consequences, good and otherwise.
Questions about the rationale that led to the appearance of this character are to be directed to Peter-the-farmer from the Village of Dergunino near Rodnya.
As one might expect, Sur is full of surprises. I cannot say what you should watch out for as it is different every time. Through him I lost my favourite glasses. And he got several bruises and was limping for over a month. On the positive side, he possesses nice soft trot, is willing to run forward and, unlike Romashka, is not obsessed about returning to his barn.
At the moment this is the only photo of Sur that I can offer you.
I will suggest that you meditate on Sur's pink nose and ask yourself if such a nose is compatible with a genuinely bad temper. Of course not! If Sur is being naughty or obstinate, it is not our of viciousness but because he does not understand what it is you want. I think he will turn out into a very pleasant animal give 3-4 years.
There have been complaints to the effect that he pushes people against the wall and kicks them. That's the nature of the beast, they need to see who is strongest. Slap him on the bum and remind him that a pink nose is not compatible with brutality.
He likes being talked to, which I recommend you do constantly. Also have a few cubes of sugar in your pocket.
Some say he bites. Not me by some reason no matter what I do, but I've seen bandaged fingers. There are rumours, supported by photo evidence (left) that he is capable of causing a permanent scar. The victim insists this one will not go away..

This is Sur's official saddle. The bastard got the best one because he at times tries throwing people off.
If a horse attempts to act up under you MAKE HIM RUN. Can't run and rear at the same time.
Please note bags, strings and other improvements to make sure that you have access, during long rides, to some of civilization's best achievements: a knife, a flashlight, matches, toilet paper, soap etc.
Also please note reflective tape tied to the back of the saddle. It is there in case you need to ride along the highway at night.
Get us 30 feet of fluorescent tape if you come across it!!
