A special message from the Accounting Department (Olesya). If you prefer to pay us with cash here (an old fashioned cheque to my bank account in London, Ontario, and the fancy new PayPal being two other acceptable methods) please bring NEW CRISPY $100 BILLS. Exchanging worn-out notes into roubles costs us 5-10% of their value, and I was seriously warned that this amount will be deducted from my beer fund. Diminished supplies of this vital beverage will make me angry and frustrated, and the quality of my services will suffer.

Down with liberal values! From now on every literate guest/client of mine is expected to write no less than one page of quality text with his Russia-related thought, observations, advice etc. Photos and drawings encouraged. No intellectual contribution - no service. Looks like I can afford to be choosy about my clients this summer.

Reviewed my site and suffered in soul over the fact that instead of trying to do things good and beautiful with the written word I wrote several hundred pages to entice travellers who have no good reason to come to this land that has no reason to be visited to except by those who really understand, who do not exist in any economically significant numbers.
By popular demand and as a constructive response to the above established the Beer i Vodka page. Submit your contributions! I mean written materials, not booze, several offers of which I received after it was announced that review of the drinking scene is in the works. I'm getting old and my capacity to successfully process the stuff seems to be down, forcing me to sublimate.
