Client feedback about Marina Kopus ( www.unclepasha.com/marina.htm , marinacus@mail.ru )
From my mailbox, received June 30, 2007
cause of the positive feeback received from guests; she was nice to me but since I would have liked to get whole apartment and not only a room, she gave the contact of a friend of hers, Marina, who had a free apartment in Butyrskij Val. In the beginning she showed me the apartment, that is apparently ok. We agreed I would rent it for 2 days, but I found some “interesting” issues on the next morning:
· the street is so noisy that with windows completely closed, you are not able to sleep (but ok, I can survive)
· the bath is 40 years old (ok again, I can survive)
· there was no hot water…what?! There was no hot water..so I called her, I let her know the problem cause maybe I had to switch something on, I was going to have a shower..she told me “ah, no, sure, there is not warm water” ; me “sorry?” her “yes, it’s a Moscow problem, every year they cut off warm water for a month cause they have to make some maintenance work”. Me “well, I’m not from Moscow and not russian, so I did not know it, how could I?! Why didn’t you tell me yesterday, when we met??” her “ah, well, it’s so, I can’t do anything”.
She behaved in such a sleazy way, cause she perfectly knew in advance there was no warm water, and a person coming from Europe is not aware of this issue; she acted just in the goal of getting money withouth caring of him. I got really mad and I said I would leave the apartment, she offered me to go to Natalia’s one. Then, since I was busy and could not waste other time to change again place, we agreed I would stay there but pay her only 1 night. The next day she sent her son for the payment and for me giving him the apartment keys. He was not aware of the 1-night-pay agreement, so we called his mother who said “ah no, you pay 2 nights, I did not understand you yesterday, my english is not good!”. Again false, cause her english is ok, she perfectly had understood everything I said, she just avoided to come. Since I am a polite person, I gently replied, explained, moaned about her behaviour, discussed and then..payed both nights. But this kind of treatment for a guest coming from abroad definetly sucks! This is called FRAUD.
Best regards,
Francesco
