Now we are on the Sofia Embankment, across the river from Kremlin, looking north-east onto onto the Moskvoretsky bridge. |

The Kremlin as seen from the Sofia embankment. A beautiful view, and a better picture giving full justice to this sight is on its way. |

Now we are looking south-west. The Kremlin is on our
right. NOTE: DO NOT USE STALIN SKYSCRAPERS FOR ORIENTATION. THERE ARE SEVERAL OF THEM AND THEY ALL LOOK ALIKE. EVEN I CAN'T FIGURE IF THIS IS THE MINISTRY OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS OR THE ONE BY THE ZOO. |

About the middle of the Moskvoretsky Bridge, looking west. The Kremlin is on our right, Sofia Embankment and the church of Saint Sofia are on our left. |

A view onto the Kremlin from the bridge. |

Another view onto the Kremlin from the bridge, with camera turned a bit to the right. Note the bellfry build in early 1600's, at the time of Boris Godunov, as a make-work project during an economic crisis following a period of wars and internal conflicts, known as "The Times of Trouble" following the death of Ivan-the-Terrible. |

Looking north towards St. Basil's Cathedral and the Red Square from the bridge |

Looking south-east towards the Balchug-Kempinsky hotel,
perhasp the best and the most expensive in the city.
