RUSSIAN BRIDES SCAM THAT COST THE VICTIM AN UNNECESSARY TRIP TO MOSCOW

With intention I will not mention sometimes names or places. Because I intend to follow the people behind this story.

It has all started with an Internet advertisement on one of those dating service websites, an innocent angel face from the very north of Russia is dreaming of starting a new long life relationship in some place out of Russia with honest and devoting man.
First I was really impressed of the way she looks, her smile and this northern beauty which exactly fits what I like.
After correspondening with her in a period of about three month was so clear that she is the one I was always dreaming of, She found her soulmate in me and was optimistic and so happy that we are so compatible personalities.
All that was leading to one thing, that we have to meet in person and finally to enjoy beeing together and start in Moscow the story of our lives in christmas and the new year 2002 holiday.
All the traveling documents and arrangements was done in short time and no matter what did that cost to make the plan perfectly done.
Two days before I travel to Moscow She sent me an email to tell me that she will arrive Moscow two days later than our plan because she has to do a very important presentation for her company. Therefore she has to travel from her northern small city to St. Petersburg only for two days then she will come to Moscow.
She could not apologise to do this job. I could not book my flight ticket two days later. Then I have to travel to Moscow and wait there two days to finally meet her.
She emailed me one hour before I leave home in my way Moscow, and promised me that she will finish this job in two days in St. Petersburg and join me in Moscow to enjoy the romanticest two weeks of our life.
The only way to conact her when I arrive Moscow was her email. I emailed her many times a day in a period of four days without to hear anything from her, or to receive any phone calls at my number in the hotel which I sent her in one of emails.
I was down in emotion and actually still feeling hat when I think of her. I was siting hours watching women s faces to find her and thought she may wanted to surprise me and just come to our meeting.
I will save you to read about the emotion details of that period, and jump to the next point.
I picked up an Internet Address before I leave home of the site www.unclepasha.com which I found pleasant and value to carry with me in case that my lady and I need help to rent an appartment in Moscow as we planned. And actually was not worried about those things because my lady know about Moscow and speaks Russian.
And the time came after four days without to hear from my Lidiya, I called Pasha the dynamic operator of this homesite. He arrived in time to pick me up to move to stay with a Russian family as I wished to survive this time until I meet Lidiya.
I sit with pasha the first time and told him the whole story which was not something new for his experience and wished that I would read his advices for people like me on his website before I leave home.
My answer was always that I did not need to search for advices, that I knew Lidiya very well and was waiting that I do the whole arrangement in Moscow with her and not to have this difficulties to communicate with the community here in English and wihout any Russian knowledge.
I did trusted Pasha and his quiet wife, and decided to stay a couple of days with them.
Pasha is a bridge beween the western and Russian way of thinking. I show him a couple of Lidiya s emails trying to analyze the pesonality from a man like him. The first thing he noticed her nearly perfect English and this typical American expressions, he suspected that for a young Russian girl from the province.
His meaning was that she is only one of two, a woman with a good qualties or she (he) is a bloody cheater without any morals..!
In the morning I had a mail from my Lidiya telling me after five days that she is sorry for this situation, and she can not come to Moscow. She is now St.Petersburg still doing that job and will fly after two days to Finland to finish that project there. She is the chief of that project and can not just take a vacation. She promised me that she will come to visit me at home in January and we will get marry there. She still believe in our future and she will do all her best to make it successed.!
I felt totally empty inside. She is about a couple of kilometers far from me, can not call me at the three number of my host family, and just write me this unbelieveable email.
I wrote back that I did a lot for our relationship and to make the future that we are dreaming of more near, now it is the time for you to do something for us. So call me to hear your voice or tell me where you are now and I will ravel to St. Petersburg to see you in person even for 15 minutes.
That was a clear request to know finally what is goining on. She wrote back that she still in St. Petersburg and had a lot of work to do, and will travel in two days to Helsinki. As soon as she arrive there she will let me know how to meet her in Helsinki...!
She ignored my request to call me soon in Moscow. It was clear that she do not want to talk with me. For two reasons that she is a guy or can not talk any word in English.
Pasha told me to check the time on the email heading, and I went through her old emails and found out that on all the headings about 8 hours time difference. It means that they came from a place like the States, and that fites in Pasha s first notice about the good English and the American expressions in the emails.
The story is still alive and did not finished, I may become next day an email about the Helsinki s part.
Well, I will let Pasha put some comments now to may help others not to go through such story which costed me a lot of time, money and emotions.
