OUR QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEM

Translations, as all documents, ALWAYS contain errors. There are certain steps one may take, however, to reduce their number and severity.

I'd like to say a few words about our approach to assuring high level of quality.

Stage 1:
Receiving the order and making sure (a) we understand what the client needs and (b) the client understands what we can and cannot do.

Stage 2:
Reviwing and understanding the material.

Stage 3:
Translation as such (1/3 of the job)

Stage 4:
Check for completeness and precision

Stage 5:
Editing by the translator.

Stage 6:
Professional editing. Editors, in most cases poor Jenny
in Ottawa, are constantly tested by mean-spirited Uncle Pasha, who leaves known errors in the text. The text is returned to the editor until 80% of these control errors are found.

A word from the editor -

Edits are made with an eye to consistency of style, grammar and of course content accuracy. Reviewing and double-checking are standard procedure. My varied education in both British and North American English allows me to apply appropriate business language as required, and I hope that I succeed in ensuring that the final text flows as if originally written in English. This is fun and varied work - I thrive on being picky!

    Jen

Stage 7:
Final proof-reading, with the same quality control procedure as in the step above.

We invite you to discuss your quality concerns.
