About Vasilyevsky Island

Vassilievskiy Island is historical center of Saint-Petersburg of 18 Centuries. Saint Petersburg is on 42 islands, and the Vassilievskiy island is the biggest. The most important office buildings of the Peter First s time being now monuments of a history and culture 18 Centuries are situated here: The State University, in a building of 12 boards, Kunskamera, the first museum of St. Petersburg, Men'shikovskiy palace, the first palace of Saint-Petersburg, the Academy of Arts, the Academy of Sciences, a building Stock exchanges, the museums of different styles etc. The first and second ports of St. Petersburg are located here, the first one you can see from my window. The best night club of the City   Plaza  and the central exhibition centre  LENEXPO  are located in Vassilievskiy Island.
