From the time it was established, out institute worked on using by-products of oil refining in other areas of economy.

During his employment at NII Xxxx, …… has shown himself as an extraordinary analyst and a developer of new and progressive methods, which became the base for his Ph.D. thesis (Three-dimensional and electronic structure of 1,3-oxathianes and their behaviour in some heterolytic reactions), written during his work with NII Xxxxxx and successfully defended in 1998 before the dissertation council of the Ufa State Petrochemical Technical University). …… has also shown himself as a talented organiser of the production process.

The main job responsibilities of ……… were as follows:

1. Formulation of problems for subsequent quantum chemistry calculations;
2. Processing and analysis of thus obtained results;
3. Conducting laboratory experiments based on quantum chemistry calculations;
4. Reaction product analysis;
5. The search of new and the improvement of already known methods of obtaining chemical compounds;
6. Organisation of efficient work of laboratory technicians and technologists;
7. Development and documentation of the methods of conducting quantum chemical calculations for the compounds of appropriate classes;
8. Teaching of the organic chemistry course to the student of the Ufa State Petrochemical Technical University (of which NII Xxxxx is a structural sub-division).

…….. authored numerous publications, of which a special mentioning deserve his works on the quantum chemistry of 1,3-diheterocycloalcanes, which are widely used in such areas as agricultural chemistry, medicine, and food industry.
