Baltic travel odds and ends. See also my Master List, unter Tallinn, Riga, or Vilnius

The two-way ticket from Moscow to Riga will cost you $130-180, accommodation in the Baltics tends to be inexpensive, living environment on the tranquil side... Often better than spending time in the OVIR to extend your visa. See a letter from my colleague in Riga.

Hi Paul,

thank you for your interest.

Yes, it`s easy to make Russian visa here in Riga. If the person is
personally arriving Latvia almost no problems could occur. If it`s not a
visa renewing than also proceeding per post possible.

Sometimes even not my help but only advice needed when somebody in Riga.

Visa processing time from 1 day (not always)/2 days (more expensive) to 6
working days. Prices vary very much from 55 USD to 180 USD depending on
processing time, insurance necessity, passport`s country (americans always
are the most expensive ones). Passport and 1-3 photos is all papers
required. Sometimes it`s good to state where a person is intended to go.

Only 30 day single entry tourist visa available. Some exceptions for EU
citizens (longer stay time) possible.

Also a help for hotel reservations in Riga possible.

I`d appreciate to discuss all details according a case by e-mail before a
person entering Latvia.

Best regards
